In October I was fortunate enough to attend my first AICI Australia conference which was held in Sydney.  As Sydney is one of my favorite cities and having lived there for about 4 years I was really excited to be returning there.

Let me tell you about the conference. It was absolutely fantastic. Very informative and motivating. I loved it. The people, the information, the venue, the food. It was great to meet people far and wide from Australia and overseas who work in the industry.  Two of the many great speakers at the conference were Sarah Gale and Brenda Kinsel.

Sarah Gale is a Trend Forecaster and Project Runway, Australia Judge.   What an inspiration and source of knowledge she is.  She informed us of the upcoming trends for winter 2012.  Look out for vintage glam and the colours of mustard, forest green and burgundy.  I will tell you more about that later.

Brenda Kinsel Image consultant and  author of  a number  of fabulous books on image and style including “40 over 40″ and  “Brenda’s Wardrobe Companion”,  gave the most motivating talk and inspired us all to go and market more to our clients.    Letting you guys know all the hints and tips on how to look fabulous.

If the stars align and I can swing it, I hope my next adventure to an AICI conference will be May 2012 where the International Conference will be held in Hawaii.  How exciting it that?  I have always wanted to go there, so looks like I will finally be going there.  Must go and start practicing swinging those hips of mine.
